Nelson Simoes is the President of WealthSense Financial Group Inc. and a Certified Financial Planner. After completing a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University with a concentration in Finance, Nelson now specializes in providing comprehensive financial planning solutions to professionals and business owners. Recognized as a leading financial planner in the financial services industry, Nelson has spoken at numerous financial forums and industry conferences across Canada. Nelson has also co-authored a book with four other top advisors across Canada on the fundamentals of ‘true’ financial planning.

In his spare time, Nelson is a proud husband to his wife Jenny, and an adoring father to his children Ellie, Nathan and Natalie. He enjoys spending time in Whistler and being outdoors. Whether he is skiing the steep and deep, riding his mountain bike in the trails with his dog Kora, or going for a swim in the lake, he enjoys being active.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is an internationally recognized credential awarded in Canada by the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC). CFP professionals must meet the FPSC’s strict standards in education, experience and ethics. CFP professionals are the largest identifiable body of licensed financial planners in Canada with more than 17,500 individuals meeting the strict standards to attain this designation.
